Girls Gone Wise

I just finished reading “Girls Gone Wise in a World Gone Wild” by Mary Kassian. The book goes through 20 points of contrast between the foolish or strange woman of Proverbs and the wise woman in Proverbs. Having heard and read my share of material aimed at women, this book was refreshing and convicting. Rather than look at a list of dos and don’ts, it addresses the attitude and heart; rather than a list of standards to maintain, it gives the reason behind things, what they represent, and that brings the motivation to be right in these areas.

I found the chapter on sex, the chapter on appearance and the chapter on roles, very informative, offering insight that I had never considered. The chapters on speech, attitude and teachability were very convicting, the chapters on focus, reliability and influence were encouraging.

I will definitely be re-reading this book! The author has also done videos for each chapter, you can find them at http://www.girlsgonewise.com, check it out.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the book. I also thought it was a very beneficial resource that women could go to again and again.
